The Herald & Times Print Centre currently produces our highly successful newspaper titles:
The Herald, and Glasgow Times, together with a huge volume of contract titles.

Compensation: £46,007 / year

• Ensure that daily/nightly printing output meets production deadlines, targets and quality expectations.
• Operate within a pressroom team environment, demonstrating good team working and flexibility.
• Adapt to changing priorities within a fast‑paced production setting.
• Maintain high awareness and understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities.
• Work as part of a rotational shift pattern.

• A recognised apprenticeship and qualification in printing.
• Experience of 4 colour web offset printing.
• Experience operating state of the art KBA Colora presses.
• A fundamental knowledge of quality images.
• Experience of setting 4 colour and mono to specified densities and optimum quality.
• The ability to work under pressure and an understanding of the time‑critical nature of newspaper production.
• Consideration will also be given to quality Sheet‑fed printers.
• A detailed working knowledge and understanding of colour printing processes is essential.
