Family Support Volunteer

The role

Are you a mum, dad, grandparent or carer with some free time? Help to give the vital support a family needs to change their life and while you’re doing it, it might just change yours!

You will work alongside parents in their own homes. Your help will include:

• Help reduce parental stress and the risk of family crisis that can lead to breakdown.
• Help parents to develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to manage their family lives again and access mainstream support and local community networks.
• Improve outcomes for children.

A training course will provide you with all the knowledge you will need to support a family, and you will become part of the fantastic Home-Start team.

Disclosure and Barring Service. Covering:
South Cambridgeshire, Royston and Buntingford.
