Electrician

Location: Cambridgeshire

Due to a sustained increase in workload, we are seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to join our well-established General Works team based in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected and growing organisation delivering high-quality electrical services across multiple sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Defence and Research. Our projects span Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties, supporting a strong base of repeat business.

Reporting directly to the General Works & Maintenance Manager, you will:

* Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of a wide range of electrical systems

* Modify, fault-find and install electrical systems within commercial and industrial environments

* Test and inspect electrical installations, including completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)

* Liaise directly with clients, representing the business in a professional and proactive manner

* Work independently using your own initiative while maintaining high standards of workmanship

We are looking for a qualified electrician with:

* A minimum of 5 years’ experience post-apprenticeship

* Strong commercial and industrial experience

* Sound knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements

* Good understanding of BS7671 and relevant Building Regulations

* The ability to work unsupervised and manage workload effectively

* JIB Rates

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation

* 18th Edition (BS7671)

* CSCS/ECS Card

* Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

* C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent

* IPAF

* PASMA

* SSSTS

* First Aid at Work
