Auto Gate Services is looking for a Gate Automation Engineer to join our team in Royston, Hertfordshire.

We are a family‑run business with over 20 years of experience delivering high‑quality automated and manual gate solutions across the UK. This role involves installing automated entry systems including gates, barriers, intercoms, and access control systems within a 50‑mile radius of our base near Royston.

• Install automated gates, barriers, intercoms, and access control systems
• Install safety upgrades and replacement parts
• Work with automation systems such as BFT, DEA, VIDEX, and similar products
• Communicate professionally and clearly with customers
• Ensure all work meets current safety standards and regulations

• Several years of experience in the gate industry
• DHF qualified (preferred)
• Ability to install BFT, DEA, VIDEX and similar products
• Team player with willingness to go the extra mile
• Positive attitude and "can do" approach
• Multi‑skilled – electrics, groundworks, and all aspects of automated gate installation tasks
• Friendly and knowledgeable customer communication style
• Experience with groundwork side of the job – hanging gates, setting out

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 per annum

Working Hours:

Mon - Fri, 40 hour week
