Internal Sales Executive - Ely
£30,000 - £35,000 basic per annum plus 25% monthly bonus potential (OTE £40,000 - £43,750)
39 hours per week | Monday - Friday | Office-based

We are partnering with a well-established Cambridgeshire-based manufacturer with over 20 years' experience supplying premium products to both consumer and B2B construction markets. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an office-based Internal Sales Executive to develop sales within a defined territory.

This role centres on growing revenue from an existing customer base, supporting new customer onboarding and re-engaging lapsed accounts. Working closely with a field-based Area Sales Manager (ASM), alongside sales support and customer service teams, you will help deliver targeted sales activity that drives revenue and builds long-term relationships. Sales will be generated through a mix of inbound enquiries and proactive outbound contact.

With full control over design, manufacture, testing and delivery, the business prides itself on quality and service. They are less focused on sector-specific sales experience and more interested in someone who enjoys speaking to people, is confident picking up the phone, and is motivated by working in a target-driven environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing opportunities from quotation through to order conversion
Building and developing strong customer relationships
Generating sales through inbound leads, outbound calls, emails and online enquiries
Qualifying opportunities and passing them to the ASM where appropriate
Achieving monthly KPIs and weekly activity targets (including call time)
Maintaining and developing CRM data within your territory

About you:

You may come from an internal sales, telesales or inside sales background, but applications are also welcomed from candidates in target-led environments such as recruitment, property, account management or similar commercial roles. A positive attitude, resilience, strong communication skills and a proactive phone-first approach are far more important than product knowledge or industry background.

Experience with in construction or building products would be beneficial but is not essential. Ultimately, the business is looking for someone energetic, personable and motivated to succeed.
