Our client, a prestigious Cambridge-based organisation, is looking for a Philanthropy Officer on a full-time, permanent basis.
Main duties include:
* Develop and grow the regular giving programme, using creative approaches to engage donors
* Work with senior development leadership on strategies to increase participation and encourage higher-level gifts
* Identify and steward potential donors, including face-to-face engagement
* Support legacy giving initiatives, demonstrating the impact and value of philanthropic support
* Analyse giving data to inform fundraising plans and identify opportunities for growth
* Represent the organisation at events and maintain strong relationships with supporters, alumni, and stakeholders
* Work closely with the development team to deliver fundraising campaigns and support long-term fundraising initiatives
The successful candidate:
* Experience in annual fund/regular giving fundraising, ideally within higher education or charitable organisations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
* Confident in engaging with donors, alumni, and stakeholders
* Familiarity with relational databases (experience with Raisers’ Edge desirable)
* Degree-educated with a strong interest in philanthropy and fundraising
* A team player willing to support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative environment
