Raw Materials Co-ordinator
Cambridgeshire
Salary 35,000

Supply chain pros only. Process lovers encouraged. Firefighters welcomed.
Let's be honest.
Production doesn't stop because machines fail.
It stops because the right material isn't in the right place at the right time.
That's where you come in.
This is a behind-the-scenes role with front-line impact. You'll be the person who makes sure production runs smoothly, suppliers perform, and problems are solved before they become problems.
No drama. No guesswork. Just control.

The Business
You'll be joining a high-growth, B2B manufacturing group supplying ingredients into bakery, pastry and dessert markets worldwide.

They operate at serious scale:

  • Multiple manufacturing sites globally
  • Thousands of SKUs
  • Complex supply chains
  • Ambitious growth plans

It's fast-moving, structured, and absolutely not a place for passengers.

The Role (What You'll Actually Be Doing)
As Raw Materials Co-ordinator, you'll own the availability of raw materials and packaging across production.
That means:

  • Managing stock levels on-site and at 3PL locations
  • Calling off materials in line with the production plan
  • Creating and managing purchase orders across a large supplier base
  • Identifying shortages early and expediting at the lowest possible cost
  • Working closely with Production Planning, Warehousing and Procurement
  • Monitoring supplier performance and challenging poor delivery
  • Managing stock-at-risk and preventing waste
  • Keeping master data accurate (lead times, MOQ, safety stock)
  • Providing forward-looking stock and storage projections

In short: you'll be the glue between planning, procurement, suppliers and the warehouse.

What You'll Bring.
You'll need:

  • 5+ years in a similar supply chain / materials planning role
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Confidence managing multiple suppliers and priorities
  • The ability to spot risk early and act fast
  • Clear communication - especially when things get tight

Nice to have (not deal breakers):

  • ERP/MRP experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A-Level or equivalent qualification

What's In It For You

  • Competitive salary
  • A business that's growing
  • Real ownership and influence
  • International exposure and collaboration
  • A culture that values ideas, not just execution

If you like structure, responsibility, and being the person who keeps everything moving - this one's worth your time.
