About You

We are looking to recruit an experienced Stores Person to join and play a key role within our production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for control and management of inventory from goods‑in through to despatch, receiving and dispatching goods from the stores, storing goods received appropriately, managing stock levels and resolving discrepancies in the delivery of goods.

Job Purpose

  • Full coordination of all product picking and issues to works order picklists activity as required by the business including both production and general supply requirements.
  • To fully support the supply chain requirements within Thermoteknix Ltd.
  • Working as part of the supply chain team and stores department.

The Role

  • Perpetual stock checks (Cat. A &

    B), carrying out daily cycle counts – reporting and recording all counts and investigating root cause analysis and reasons for manual adjustments always keeping Sage data up to date.
  • Check kanbans and lineside stock.
  • Responsible for kit picking and processing, working to predetermined picking list, preparing kits of parts for assembly on the shop floor.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and control of all stock within the department, this includes responsibility for some of the goods inwards, putting items away in the correct locations after counting.
  • Sort and locate parts on the storage racks. Follow established procedures to clearly identify parts (labelling) and follow FiFo stock rotation. Storing safely and securely to prevent any accidents or damage to the parts, particularly fragile parts or parts requiring specific storage conditions. always Treating parts with care and concern.
  • Ensure any outstanding shortages are delivered to shop floor.
  • Understand and comply with all internal procedures.
  • Distribution of incoming mail.
  • Replenish and manage consumables.
  • Providing packing data to enable shipment.
  • Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received (verification of quality (damage) and quantity) and checking against relevant paperwork. Carry out inspection, if responsible, for items associated with quality alerts.
  • Inform R&D engineers of parts requiring inspection.
  • Add use‑by dates on consumables.
  • Picking kits, storing kits, and delivering to the shopfloor.
  • Organising and delivering piece parts from the Stores to the department that requires them, including material requests. Booking out of parts.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or collection, including packing, wrapping, and labelling.
  • Managing delivery documentation.
  • Booking in/out of finished products to achieve on‑time delivery of Customer’s orders.
  • Packing finished goods in readiness for collection.
  • Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepare packages for shrink wrapping where required and ensure breakable items are correctly packaged.
  • Place labels correctly on outside of packaging.

Key Challenges

  • Available for occasional overtime including early starts from time to time.
  • The distribution and issuance of ‘non‑production parts’ to the relevant department, in a timely manner, including manual handling of boxes and equipment which could be near the maximum weight of 25kg over long distances when required.
  • Responsible for updating stock control system on computer correctly and accurately on a day‑to‑day basis.
