Head of Building Surveying; Partner

The Opportunity

Turner Property Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected property consultancy to appoint a Head of Building Surveying at Partner level for their Cambridge office.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor who is ready to take the helm shaping and expanding a regional service line. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the growth of the Building Surveying offering across Cambridge and the wider East of England market.

As Head of Building Surveying, you will take ownership of developing and leading the Building Surveying team while delivering high-quality advice to a diverse client base. You will work closely with senior leadership to build market presence, grow revenue and strengthen client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the Building Surveying service line within the Cambridge office
• Driving business development and identifying new market opportunities
• Managing and delivering a broad range of professional and project-led Building Surveying instructions
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
• Mentoring and developing surveyors within the team
• Contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business

Candidates who are able to bring an existing team and/or established client relationships would be particularly welcomed, as there is strong appetite to accelerate growth in the region. However this is not a prerequisite, and the firm will support the right individual in building a team over time.

We are keen to speak with ambitious Building Surveying professionals who are currently operating at Partner, Director or Associate Partner level, or those ready to step into a Partner role.

You will likely have:

• MRICS qualification (or equivalent)
• A strong track record in Building Surveying within a consultancy environment
• Demonstrable business development capability
• Experience leading teams or service lines
• Strong commercial awareness and client management skills
• An existing network within the Cambridge / East of England property market

• Partner-level appointment with genuine leadership responsibility
• A platform to grow and shape a regional Building Surveying team
