The Cambridge Breast Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) is recruiting a 12‑month secondment as Superintendent of Breast Imaging Service (Band 8a).
Responsibilities- Provide operational and managerial leadership to the Cambridge and Huntingdon Breast Screening Programme and imaging clinical teams.
- Ensure effective delivery of high‑quality breast imaging service across screening and symptomatic pathways in line with national standards.
- Work with the Programme Manager, Director of Screening and Imaging Operational Managers to deliver the Screening Programme, taking responsibility for clinical effectiveness, radiation protection and equipment.
- Support the delivery of a high‑quality breast imaging service across both screening and symptomatic pathways.
- Motivated, passionate and able to work as part of a team with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and concentrate on tasks in a busy environment.
- Experience in clinical effectiveness, radiation protection and equipment management (preferred).
- Adherence to the standards of conduct, performance and ethics as defined by the Health and Care Professions Council.
