Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tissue Viability Team for a motivated individual committed to improving wound care outcomes for patients. This position offers the chance to join a dynamic team and progress into a specialist role in Tissue Viability. The role is countywide and not limited to the Cambridge area.
Responsibilities- To provide an advanced standard of clinical assessment, evidence-based advice and education to prevent and manage wounds for patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
- To support the tissue viability team with the allocation of beds and pressure-relieving equipment for ICES within Cambridgeshire.
- To provide an advanced standard of clinical assessment, evidence-based advice and education to individuals with tissue viability problems.
- To work as part of the multidisciplinary team with the aim of preventing admission, supporting early discharge and providing ongoing or shared care for patients with wounds.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner with access to advice and support from senior colleagues.
- To participate in evidence-based audit and research projects.
- To provide advice and education to the public and other healthcare professionals.
