Job Title: Clinical Community Dietitian – Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust
Banding: Band 6 (Band 7 applicants also considered)
Location: Cambridgeshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, based on NHS Band 6/7 pay scale
Working Hours: 2 days per week (part-time)
Contract Length: 11 months

Job Overview

Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Community Dietitian to join their team on a part-time basis. This 11-month locum role is ideal for a Band 6 Dietitian, though applications from Band 7 candidates are also welcomed. The successful candidate will provide specialist dietetic care across a range of adult services, including home enteral feeding, general outpatient clinics, and community visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dietetic care to adults requiring home enteral tube feeding.
  • Manage general adult outpatient clinics, covering nutrition support, irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, obesity, and vitamin & mineral deficiencies.
  • Conduct home visits for general adult patients.
  • Provide input for adults with learning disabilities and mental health inpatients (experience in these areas is desirable).
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend relevant meetings to support patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A recognised degree in Dietetics.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience in community dietetics, particularly with home enteral tube feeding in adults.
  • Experience with general adult nutrition clinics.
  • Desirable:
    Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health inpatients.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
