About the Role

As a Finance System Analyst, you will lead system improvements for both finance and forecasting systems. You'll manage system access, develop workflows, document key processes, and provide technical support to users across our wider group.

  • Adaptive System Improvement:
    Lead the enhancement of our Adaptive forecasting system.
  • Business Cycle Preparation:
    Ensure readiness for key business cycles like month-end rollovers and budget processes.
  • System Administration:
    Perform daily administration and monitoring of both Unit 4 Finance and Adaptive forecasting systems.
  • Guideline Development:
    Create and maintain system administration guidelines and checklists.
  • Configuration Management:
    Work with the Adaptive Solution Architect to manage configuration changes.
  • Help-Desk Support:
    Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users, coordinating with Adaptive support as needed.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure system compliance with company policies and protocols.
  • System Integration:
    Maintain integration with other business systems like UBW and Workday.
  • User Training:
    Lead training sessions for new users.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Seek out opportunities for system improvement through user feedback and data analysis, presenting cases for change to the Head of Financial Systems Team.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in Financial Budgeting and Planning system with Adaptive Insight preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems (or related area) and / or part-qualified accountant.
  • Experience of finance system e.g. UBW.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with all levels of management and staff and clearly present ideas and solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Proven ability to influence and persuade.
  • High level of problem solving / analytical skills.
  • Ability to actively question and listen to be able to problem solve.
  • Experience in driving and managing change in a complex organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, customers and cross‑functional teams with an approach that is open, flexible, and transparent to identifying solutions with a personal ethos of continuous improvement.
About Us

Our Finance Systems team support the critical Finance and Procurement systems including UBW and Adaptive.

We focus on improvements and also systems admin to keep the continued functionality of our key systems.
