Electrical Engineer

Purpose of the Job

• To deliver day-to-day electrical maintenance across commercial sites, ensuring safe and reliable operation of electrical systems.

• To carry out planned and reactive works, supporting site uptime and compliance with statutory requirements.

• To participate in the on-call rota to respond to emergencies as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete planned and reactive electrical maintenance across assigned sites.

• Respond to on-call requests as part of a 1 in 6 rota.

• Accurately complete maintenance logs, permits, and compliance documentation.

• Perform minor electrical repairs, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance.

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures and H&S regulations.

• Support additional work via overtime where required.

Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills

• Qualified electrical engineer with practical experience in commercial or industrial sites.

• Experience with fault-finding and reactive maintenance.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible approach and willingness to participate in on-call duties.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Standard hours: 08:00 – 17:00

• Salary: £39,000 per annum

• 25 days annual leave

• On-call: 1 in 6 rota

• Van supplied for site travel

• Overtime available for additional works

Accountabilities

• Accountable to the Site Supervisor / Engineering Manager.

• No direct line management responsibility.

• Responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient operation of electrical systems
