Drainage Designer

Position: Drainage Designer (Permanent, Contract)
We are seeking a Drainage Designer with 1 to 3 years’ drainage design experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an early-career civil or drainage engineer looking to develop their skills on real infrastructure projects.

You will be involved in the design of trackside and off-track drainage systems, working closely with senior engineers and supporting delivery across rail and civil infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities

* Drainage design for rail and civil infrastructure projects

* Use of Info Drainage for hydraulic modelling and drainage layouts

* Preparation of drainage calculations, drawings, and technical reports

* Supporting site visits and coordination with project teams

* Assisting with design development through different project stages

Essential Requirements

* 1–3 years’ experience in drainage design

* Strong working knowledge of Info Drainage

* Degree in Civil Engineering, Drainage Engineering, or similar

* Good understanding of drainage principles and UK standards

* Willingness to attend site visits as required

Desirable Experience

* Experience in railway track drainage or off-track drainage design

* Familiarity with infrastructure projects in Anglia, Kent, Sussex, or Wessex

* Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams

Candidates based in or near these regions will be at an advantage due to the need for occasional site visits.
