SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Daily Rate: £95-£110
- Location:
Near Ely - Job Type: Full-time (School Term Time Only)
- Start Date: ASAP
Join our newly established alternative provision for secondary aged children, part of a well-regarded SEN company known for its dedication to supporting vulnerable young people. We are seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about making a difference and helping students achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they engage with the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Utilise creative approaches to help students overcome educational barriers.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model to encourage personal and academic growth.
- Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and understanding of best practices in SEN education.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with children or young people (doesn't have to be within an educational setting)
- Excellent rapport-building skills with a sense of humour and understanding approach.
- Creativity in problem-solving and lesson engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A genuine interest in and commitment to improving educational outcomes for vulnerable young people.
