Job Summary
We’re looking for a determined, creative and resilient individual to lead on securing sponsorship and external funding to support Cambridge’s iconic cultural events, including the Cambridge Folk Festival, Cambridge Corn Exchange and Guildhalls programme, and the City Events programme.
Job DescriptionYou’ll take ownership of identifying and approaching potential sponsors and funders, developing proposals, and building meaningful partnerships that help sustain and grow these events. Working closely with event leads, the Audience Development Officer, the Creative Partnership team and others, you’ll also identify potential grant funders and lead on the development of successful bids.
As our in-house expert in fundraising and sponsorship, you’ll provide advice and support to managers and colleagues across the service, helping to shape our approach to partnership working and income generation.
You’ll bring experience in sponsorship, fundraising or partnership development, ideally within the arts, culture or events sectors. Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about community events in Cambridge and driven to make a real difference, helping ensure the city s festivals and programmes continue to thrive and inspire for years to come.
Hours & Working Pattern: 29.6 Hours (4 days a week)

- Project management and administration
- Developing and maintaining high quality relationships with sponsors and funders
- Seeking and managing corporate sponsorship
- Experience working in an arts-based environment
- Drafting sponsorship agreements and contracts
- Budget-management processes and techniques
- Writing grant funding proposals
- Awareness of corporate partners and potential funders in the Cambridge area
- Extensive knowledge of fundraising techniques and models
