Role

SEN Teacher at our independent specialist day school dedicated to students aged 6‑19 with complex needs, including Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and autism spectrum disorders. We offer a personalised learning environment, therapeutic support, and a Hydrotherapy pool.

• Plan and deliver tailored, high‑quality learning.
• Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with class leaders, therapists, and other professionals.
• Contribute to curriculum development and overall class progress.
• Lead and support support staff effectively.
• Engage in assessment and reporting of students' progress.
• Assist with physical intervention and personal care routines where appropriate.

• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification with evident ongoing professional development (essential).
• Strong understanding of Teacher Standards and expectations.
• Experience or knowledge of SEN, particularly sensory‑led curricula.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail in assessment, recording, and reporting.
• Leadership ability to guide and support other adults in the classroom.
