Digital Media / Production, Content Writer / Copywriter
18 hours per week | Wandlebury Country Park | £30,000 FTE
Cambridge is growing fast. The pressure on its landscapes, green spaces and heritage mean that the work of our charity has never been more important.
Cambridge Past, Present & Future exists to protect what makes this city distinctive, its views, its meadows, its biodiversity, its historic character, and to ensure that future development strengthens rather than erodes that legacy.
We are now creating a new role:
Content & Digital Producer.
This is not a generalist social media post. It is a hands‑on, campaign‑led production role at the centre of our membership and income growth strategy.
You will translate clear strategic priorities into compelling content across social, video, email and print. You will help shape how our civic mission shows up in the digital world, building engagement as a pathway to membership, patronage and long‑term support.
What you’ll be doing :- Producing narrative‑led social content, including short‑form video
- Creating high‑quality campaign assets aligned to growth objectives
- Translating planning and place‑based issues into accessible stories
- Designing and producing our members’ magazine and annual review
- Using performance insight to refine formats and improve engagement
- Building a reusable visual library to support long‑term storytelling
This role sits under strategic direction but requires real autonomy in execution. With a team of 15 staff and over 100 volunteers, individual contribution is visible and meaningful.
You’ll be working from our office overlooking Wandlebury Country Park, surrounded by the landscapes we exist to protect. There is the potential for this role to be hybrid, although regular visits to site for content creation and team meetings will be required.
While this post is advertised as an employed role, we would also consider proposals from experienced freelance practitioners able to demonstrate strong alignment with the brief and the capacity to deliver consistent, campaign‑led output over time.
We are looking for someone who understands that digital is not just about channels, but about clarity, consistency and relevance.
