SHE Advisor

We're looking for a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor (SHE Advisor) to join our Construction team.

Waterbeach, Cambridge

Contract:

Permanent – Full Time

Qualification:

Ideally CMIOSH or working towards accreditation

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

• Carry out regular audits, inspections and visits to identify safe and unsafe on-site working conditions and practices. Report on findings of such inspections and make recommendations to remedy any defects found using Kier software systems.
• Carry out SHE tasks that are required to maintain Kier Group SHE policies and procedures as directed by the Snr HS&W Manager.
• Promote, fully participate and assist delivery in the implementation of the Kier Behavioural Safety Programme;
  Think Safety Differently.
• Advise on the practical implementation of CDM, Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans, Environmental Management Plans and Wellbeing strategies.
• Compile accident reports for reportable accidents and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence. Send reports to the Snr HS&W Manager and Project Director/Manager and ensure recommendations are actioned in a timely manner.

• A positive approach to SHE and working life in general.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of an established team.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and be able to present in forums and/or meetings.
• A proactive approach to resolving issues, challenges, finding effective and practical solutions.
• Fully conversant with current IT applications and a digitalisation understanding.
