Personal Trainer and Coach

Overview

Retro Fitness in Cambridge (powered by Momentum Enterprises) is seeking a motivated Personal Trainer who enjoys helping members move better, feel stronger, and stay consistent with their fitness goals. This role focuses on personal training, with the opportunity to also support member experience and front desk operations based on interest, availability, and business needs.

Personal Training

• Create personalized fitness and wellness programs based on individual goals and abilities
• Lead one-on-one, small group, and team training sessions
• Conduct fitness assessments, goal setting, and progress evaluations
• Motivate and support members throughout their fitness journey
• Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client progress
• Ensure safe equipment use and a clean, organized training environment

Member Experience Support

• Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner
• Assist with member check-ins, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks
• Support daily club operations and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere

• Current Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent)
• CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain prior to hire
• Active liability insurance (required)
• Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working independently
• Ability to pass a background check
• Prior experience in personal training, coaching, group fitness, or customer service preferred
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
