The App Frameworks team is looking for a senior engineer with expertise in Apple platforms to help architect and build frameworks used by dozens of apps across Apple.
You’ll be working with the world‑class teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork to create next‑generation experiences for creators.
This is a role for a dynamic Swift engineer looking to have an impact up and down the native application stack on Apple platforms. You will be responsible for building frameworks to support subscriptions and user engagement across our apps, as well as contributing to client app code as needed. The ideal candidate should have experience in iOS and macOS development, care about long‑term sustainable software development, and can drive features from concept all the way to delivery.
This position also requires a self‑motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Design, implement, and maintain high quality, testable, maintainable, performant software for applications and frameworks
- Develop Swift APIs to create intuitive purchase experiences as well as to proactively educate users about our creative apps
- Work cross‑functionally to cut through ambiguity to define product requirements
- Participate in code reviews for Swift and Objective‑C code
- Contribute to your teammates growth and development
- Advocate for new technologies, tools, and best practices
- 5+ years of proven relevant industry experience shipping iOS or macOS apps
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns used in programming for Apple platforms
- Strong proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework (Swift
UI, UIKit, App Kit) - Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and build long‑term relationships across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience with Store Kit or other related frameworks
- Experience with in‑app messaging
- Passion for quality and attention to detail
- Excitement for both the developer and the user experience
- Experience using AI tools to enhance software engineering productivity and workflows
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,500 and $286,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
