Job Overview
Position:
Test Engineer (Full‑time, 3‑Month CTH, no fees) – Confidential.
Location:
Cambridge, MA. Base pay: $50.00/hr - $52.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
- Develop and execute functional test plans.
- Develop and maintain functional test suites and documentation.
- Identify and document software issues, troubleshooting defects.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure software quality.
- Investigate software defects and resolve failure modes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Clinical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience with HL7/FHIR medical device interfacing.
- Detail‑oriented ability to assess complex software applications and develop comprehensive test scripts or protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience with embedded medical device testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience investigating software defects using troubleshooting skills.
- Self‑starter, quick to learn new applications and technologies.
- Experience with TCP/IP, WLAN, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Good understanding of the V‑model (Requirements analysis, functional analysis, functional vs non‑functional requirements, component analysis).
- Experience with web application testing.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations.
- Experience in API and micro‑services testing.
- Proficient testing of highly critical real‑time, large‑scale distributed client‑server applications (preferably in healthcare) via automation.
- Proficient in server/client‑based applications and environment setup in Windows for testing.
- Proficient testing TCP/IP, WLAN, DNS, DHCP communication protocols.
- Experience testing Software as a Medical Device.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience with embedded medical device testing.
