Tuesday - Friday 8 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $21.45 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training / Daily Pay Available

As a Security Officer in Cambridge, MA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a technology campus or corporate office location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, perimeters, and common spaces, to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and visitor screening processes, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Complete detailed reports, maintain required armed post documentation, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and client personnel during shift turnovers and incident follow-up.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
