Senior Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology

Summary

Senior Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology will play a key role in developing mouse and/or rat models of CNS disease and screening potential RNAi-based therapeutics in the CNS space. The Scientist will be responsible for designing and executing experiments and working collaboratively with the Biology, Platform, and Chemistry teams.

• Design and execute in vivo experiments in the CNS space
• Lead the development of mouse and/or rat models of CNS disease
• Screen potential therapeutics in vivo
• Represent the In Vivo Pharmacology team in program team meetings
• Work collaboratively with programs leads and representatives from other teams
• Present findings in program team meetings and in company-wide meetings

• PhD plus 2‑3 years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the CNS space; experience in industry or drug‑discovery is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CNS biology and disease models.
• Ability to perform Intravenous, Intrathecal, Intra‑Cisterna Magna, and/or Intracerebroventricular injections in rats and/or mice.
• Ability to perform brain dissections and isolate different parts of the brain for analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑team environment.
• Ability to perform ex vivo analysis of tissues (RT‑qPCR, western blot, ELISA).
• Strong record‑keeping and presentation skills.

The base salary range reflects our current estimate of what we anticipate paying for this position. Your actual base salary will be based on several factors, including relevant skills, experience, internal equity, relevant education or training and market dynamics. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual cash bonus and equity compensation. Per year salary range: $136,000 to $154,000 USD.
