We’re looking for baristas and other counter staff with a passion for hospitality and service to join our vibrant all day cafe and ice cream shop at One Kendall Square in Cambridge. We will have morning, day, and evening shift availability.

This position has both an hourly wage and participates in a tip pool with tips averaging between $6 and $12 per hour.

We were recently awarded Best of Boston and we’re opening our first ever permanent location at One Kendall Square right next to the Landmark Kendall Square Cinema and in the same complex as Mamaleh’s, State Park, and Area Four.

For the right candidate, everything else can be taught.

In this position, you will be the face of Third Time Together. You’ll prepare coffee and espresso drinks, guide guests as they taste our award winning ice cream, and help guide guests through our menu of Eastern Mediterranean-inspired food (think the intersection of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa). You will create warm, memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

You’ll take orders, handle payments, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house, and work collaboratively with the kitchen team. Everyone is cross-trained on multiple positions. As we prepare to open, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish service standards and training protocols.

This job requires a genuine desire to serve others and create positive experiences. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and providing warm hospitality. You need excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with guests from all backgrounds. You will be responsible for prioritizing cleanliness and food safety. You will need to be able to multi-task, stay organized during busy periods, and have strong attention to detail.

You will need to be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required: as with all things here, we will always train the right person! Customer service experience is helpful. Interest in or knowledge of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, or Eastern Mediterranean cuisine and culture will be useful as well. Comfort learning about coffee, ice cream, and food to help guide guests is a plus.

We offer hourly wage plus participation in the tip pool. We also offer opportunities to participate in service improvements and contribute ideas that enhance the guest experience. You’ll work in a fast-paced but supportive environment where your hospitality and creativity will be valued and encouraged. We provide staff meals and regular treats in our creative and joyful new space. We also have potential significant growth opportunities as we plan future expansions.
