POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, CENTER FOR SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCE & STRATEGY/AGAGE
, Center for Sustainability Science & Strategy (CS3), seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to join an international team of experimentalists and theoreticians in the Advanced Global Atmospheric Gases Experiment (AGAGE) and a large atmospheric chemistry group work will focus on interpretation of AGAGE observations of greenhouse and ozone-depleting gases using models, measurements and inverse methods. The general goals are to determine emissions, transport rates and mechanisms, loss rates and mechanisms, and ozone depletion and radiative forcing by these gases at sub-national to global levels.
The work will apply state-of-the-art 3-dimensional atmospheric chemistry and circulation models, together with advanced statistical techniques (optimal Bayesian, Markov Chain-Monte Carlo, etc.) to solve the forward and inverse problems involved.
