Position: RN – PACU / Pre-Op
Facility: CHA Cambridge Hospital
Location: 1493 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA 02139
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Schedule: 5x8 Rotating Shifts
Hours: 40 hours per week

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• Active MA RN License
• AHA-BLS
• AHA-ACLS
• AHA-PALS

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced RN to rotate between Pre-Op and PACU. Candidates must be flexible, as block scheduling is not available.

Shift Details:

• Pre-Op: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• PACU: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Must float between units
• Charge nurse capability – Highly preferred
• Scrubs provided by the unit

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Pre-Op and/or PACU experience

Unit Details

• Rotation between Pre-Op and PACU
• Pre-Op: 5 bays
• PACU: 8 bays

Required Drips/Medications:

• PACU experience with occasional pressor support (e.g., Neo)

Lines of Service Include:

• General Surgery
• GYN
• Urology
• Plastics
• Orthopedics (Total Joints, Sports Medicine, Podiatry, Hand)
• Vascular (vein ligations, stab phlebectomy; some IR procedures with IR tech support)
• Endoscopy (performed in OR)

PACU also recovers IR patients receiving anesthesia
