  • Start Date: February 24, 2026
  • End Date: May 18, 2026
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks
  • Shift: 8 Hour Days
  • Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
  • Scrub Color: Any
  • Holiday Coverage: Must work every other major holiday
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Active Massachusetts RN license
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Nurse Manager experience in Postpartum Units
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience in a Continuing Care Nursery, Special Care Nursery (SCN), or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Acute care nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nurse experience required (first-time travelers not considered)
  • 2 recent references as Postpartum Charge RN, Nurse Manager, or Nursing Supervisor
  • Current AHA BLS & NRP certifications required at time of submission
  • Minimum two years progressive management experience
  • Specialty nursing certification required or must be obtained within one year of appointment
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season
  • EMR experience preferred, especially with EPIC
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Postpartum Unit, ensuring high-quality care for mothers and newborns from early postpartum through discharge
  • Promote culturally sensitive couplet care and support early family bonding
  • Provide charge nurse leadership and progressive management for postpartum nursing staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Mentor and support staff development within the postpartum nursing team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and proficient use of EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
