Registered Nurse - Post Partum

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Postpartum care. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to new mothers and infants, supporting physicians, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. Travel nurses are welcome to apply, including first-time travelers.

• D eliver postpartum nursing care to patients and newborns
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care and progress using EMR systems (Epic preferred)
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and professional standards
• Common patient diagnosis:
  Post vaginal delivery; post c-section delivery; intermittent post-partum magnesium or postpartum hemorrhage
• Required Drips & Medications: IV antibiotics; IV magnesium intermittently, PRBC; rhogam, lovenox
• Number of Beds in the Unit: 13 Postpartum and 4 Continuing Care Nursery

• Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications
• Active MA RN license verified through NURSYS (report must include all past and present licenses, pulled within the last 7 days)
• Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday.
• Must have experience working in acute care setting.
