OverviewCamp Words Unspoken (CWU) is looking to fill a grant writing intern position. Camp Words Unspoken is a national non‑profit organization based in Massachusetts. Our organization relies on grant funding from foundations across the Northeast. Many of our campers seek financial assistance and by obtaining grants we can ensure we accept all campers into the program, regardless of their financial status.
As a grant writing intern you will gain the experience and knowledge to become successful and feel rewarded to help families of youths and teens who stutter.
Apart of the grant writing internship you will have the following responsibilities:
- Make phone calls and send emails to foundations that support non‑profit organizations like CWU.
- Record grant application information in an excel spreadsheet.
- Operate from a list of potential donors, while working closely with the director.
- Assist in sourcing new grants through grant databases such as the Foundation Directory Online.
- Write 2-4 grant proposals a month, using the grant templates provided in the training.
Training will be provided before the start of the internship.
- 5-10 hours a week
