Overview

Fayerweather Street School (FSS) is a leading independent, progressive, PK-8 all-gender school in the Fresh Pond area of Cambridge, MA. The school seeks a dynamic Marketing & Communications Manager (MCM) to develop and implement short-term and long-range plans, tactical programs, and an integrated messaging strategy that elevates the school’s visibility and profile in alignment with its strategic plan, enrollment objectives, and fundraising goals.

The MCM designs clear, effective communications that invite all constituents—parents, teachers & staff, students, alums, Board directors, volunteers, and community leaders—to understand and appreciate the Fayerweather experience, while maintaining brand identity, messaging coherence, and consistency across channels.

The MCM reports to the Director of Advancement & Community Engagement (DoA&CE) and collaborates with the Head of School, the Advancement Team, and school leaders. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about Fayerweather and storytelling, nimble, flexible, and skilled at building cohesion across school communications and media platforms.

• Develop and implement short-term and long-range communications plans and tactical programs.
• Create and manage an integrated messaging strategy that elevates visibility in support of strategic, enrollment, and fundraising goals.
• Design clear communications that articulate the Fayerweather experience and maintains brand identity, messaging coherence, and consistency across all channels.
• Collaborate with the Head of School, the DoA&CE, the Advancement Team, and school leaders to align communications with school priorities.

• Dynamic, creative, and experienced Marketing & Communications professional with enthusiasm for Fayerweather and storytelling.
• Nimble and flexible, with ability to build cohesion across school communications and media platforms.
