ABOUT THE COMPANY

At Custom Made, we believe engagement rings should be as personal as the relationships they represent. We make it easy to create a ring that's both one-of-a-kind and affordable. Turns out people really like that and word is really spreading quickly! We've created 30,000 pieces of custom jewelry and helped 12,000 couples get engaged, but we're still just getting started reshaping the jewelry industry.

ABOUT

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity to build hands‑on business experience by joining the Operations team of a growing startup. You'll be part of our head office hub - coordinating and handling the physical items involved in our process: gemstones, precious metals, and most importantly our finished pieces. That work is critical to the seamless customer experience at the heart of our business.

Every day we handle valuable custom pieces with significant emotional importance to the customer.

We are looking for a trusted and capable team member. To succeed, you'll need a unique blend of operational fortitude, multi‑tasking ability, and communication finesse. You'll ensure items are moving properly, and coordinate across our in‑office and remote teams. This is a fully in‑office position.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • $21/hour
  • This is a full‑time role with full benefits (health, vision, dental)
  • 401k match
  • Employee jewelry discount
  • Holidays and paid time off
  • Standard business hours, Monday‑Friday schedule
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Directly handle intake and shipping for customer projects. Inspect, package and ship pieces using the utmost care.
  • Help manage our gem inventory. That includes stones we stock in our safe, orders arriving from suppliers, and stones shipping out to our manufacturing facilities.
  • Assemble our product packaging, flagging when inventory levels get low.
  • Play an active role in supplies procurement: ensure that key items are always in stock.
  • Coordinate with our Gems, Production, and Photography teams as needed.
  • Help identify logistics and/or quality issues, using your judgment and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Work closely with our in‑office team to keep our in‑office operations running smoothly and safely. Take an active role in ensuring our in‑office loss prevention policies are followed properly.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Outstanding organization and attention to detail
  • High standard for quality
  • Excited about digging into the day‑to‑day tasks that keep a startup running
  • Experience with coordination of multiple parties
  • High‑level verbal and written communication skills

  • Adaptable, adjusts quickly to changing priorities and situations
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Personal interest in high‑quality jewelry preferred
