A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking a dynamic executive to lead its Commercial Field Effectiveness and Operations function. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for field team performance across multiple therapeutic areas. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in field force optimization, incentive design, and cross‑functional leadership to drive measurable impact and CRM enablement across commercial and medical field teams.
Key Responsibilities- Field Strategy & Execution: Define and implement operational frameworks that enhance field team effectiveness across commercial and medical functions.
- Learning & Development: Oversee onboarding, training, and leadership development programs to elevate field capabilities and culture.
- Sales Strategy Integration: Align field deployment and resource planning with evolving business priorities and market dynamics.
- Field Operations & Technology: Lead call plan design, territory alignment, and the deployment of field‑facing technologies.
- Incentive Compensation: Design and govern incentive plans that reflect performance principles and business goals.
- Medical Field Enablement: Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure scientific engagement and execution quality.
- Analytics & Reporting: Deliver executive‑level insights and reporting on field performance and strategic initiatives.
- Platform Innovation: Drive the evolution of field enablement platforms with a focus on scalability, automation, and user experience.
- Budget Oversight: Manage incentive compensation budgets and provide strategic input on adjustments and trade‑offs.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership: Serve as a key liaison across Commercial, Medical Affairs, IT, Legal, and Compliance to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
- Organizational Development: Build and mentor a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, field excellence and IC within the pharmaceutical industry.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role with direct accountability for field strategy and execution.
- Deep expertise in CRM systems (Veeva preferred), sales analytics, and field reporting.
- Demonstrated success in designing and managing incentive compensation programs.
- Experience leading commercial training and development initiatives.
- Strong cross‑functional influence, especially with Medical Affairs, Legal, and Compliance.
- Proven ability to lead change in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach and a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or relevant scientific/business discipline) preferred.
