Scismic is supporting the growth of a company seeking a Director of Early CMC to lead the transition of next-generation biologics from Discovery into the clinic.

You will lead a team responsible for the biophysical characterization and develop ability screening of complex protein therapeutics. Your goal is to ensure only the most robust candidates advance, optimizing them for stability, scalability, and regulatory filing.

• Strategic Selection:
  Lead the develop ability assessments that drive candidate promotion.
• Analytical Excellence:
  Oversee advanced analytical workflows (LC-MS, HPLC, etc.) and pre-formulation screening.
• CMC & IND Leadership:
  Drive the early CMC strategy and author key technical sections for IND submissions.
• External Partnerships:
  Manage CDMO/CRO relationships for cell line development and tech transfers.
• Team Mentorship:
  Supervise and grow a talented team of scientists in a fast-paced environment.

• PhD in a relevant scientific field with 10+ years of industry experience.
• Deep expertise in the development of complex antibodies, ADCs, or multispecifics.
• Proven track record in analytical method development and CMC project management.
• A collaborative leader who thrives in agile, innovative biotech settings.
