Empower Administrator

• Deep experience with Empower including managing the application at the server level.
• User management (roles, groups, privileges)
• Project configuration & security policies
• Creating, backing up and restoring projects
• Instrument integration with LACEs
• Aquity HPLCs
• Agilent HPLCs
• Thermo Mass Specs
• Setting up LACEs from scratch with Thermo, Agilent and Waters drivers
• Familiarity with manually configuring DCOM
• Audit trail review & data integrity controls
• Custom field configuration
• Troubleshooting acquisition & processing issues
• Empower toolkit and SQL query knowledge (nice to have)
• Familiar and comfortable with troubleshooting Citrix and Citrix workspace
• Familiarity with Waters Personal Workstation and BCLACE and MDLACE configuration is a plus
• Windows Server administration
• Active Directory integration
• Basic network troubleshooting (DNS, ports, firewall)
• Familiarity with backup and restore strategies

Must also be capable of performing typical lab support activities as the role will be concurrent and not exclusive to Empower.

• Supporting standalone scientific instruments
• Client/server instruments
• General instrument > PC connectivity
• Basic familiarity with common lab applications (unicorn, chemdraw/chemoffice etc)
