SAP ABAP Developer - INTL India

Overview

Insight Global is looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to support a global energy company. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SAP ECC environments, strong analytical capabilities, and the professionalism required to collaborate effectively across global teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP developments in SAP ECC (RICEF objects).
• Create and optimize reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
• Develop and maintain Adobe Forms and Smart Forms for business-critical documents.
• Build and troubleshoot interfaces (File-based, Web Services, APIs, IDocs).
• Implement enhancements using BADIs, BAPIs, and User Exits.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Provide clear progress reporting and proactively communicate roadblocks, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure developments follow internal quality, performance, and documentation standards.

Hourly Pay Range: $18/hr-$22/hr based on experience.

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development (7–10 years preferred).
• Strong expertise in SAP ECC systems.
• Good understanding of SAP integration techniques (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Web Services, APIs).
• Experience with Smart Forms and Adobe Interactive Forms.
• Proven experience with Enhancements Framework (User Exits, BADIs, BAPIs).
• Familiarity with performance tuning and debugging tools.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• Workflow knowledge
• Knowledge of S/4
