A client of Jackson & Correia, headquartered in Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager – Data Solutions to lead enterprise data initiatives across a complex, decentralized organization.

This role is 100% remote
, with travel to Massachusetts once per quarter, and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive data solutions including Data Marts, dashboards, reports, tools, AI/ML models, and metadata frameworks.

Position Overview

The Technical Program Manager (TPM), Data Solutions is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of comprehensive data solutions that meet evolving business and analytical needs. These solutions may include Data Marts, dashboards, reports, tools, AI/ML models, metadata repositories, and integrated data access frameworks.

This individual will lead the project Operating Committee and associated working groups, execute the data solutions roadmap, and ensure alignment with enterprise data governance policies. The TPM will oversee technical implementation, manage dependencies, and proactively communicate risks, issues, and blockers.

This role will also own the integration of role-based and fine-grained data access controls within Data Marts and serve as the first point of escalation for data solutions and access-related issues. The Technical Program Manager will collaborate closely with institutional leadership and stakeholders across central administration, departments, institutes, and labs.

  • Own the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of scalable data solutions supporting reports, dashboards, analytics, and enterprise metrics
  • Define and execute a comprehensive data solutions roadmap, including redesign of data models to support system integrations and cross-functional analytics
  • Lead high-level and detailed technical design sessions with senior engineers to ensure compliant, efficient data architecture aligned with governance policies
  • Drive implementation of technical tasks, monitor dependencies, and report key risks, issues, and blockers
  • Hold partner engineering teams accountable for delivering measurable improvements and high-quality outcomes
  • Identify inter-workstream dependencies and monitor mitigation plans
  • Lead Functional Committees and Working Groups
  • Facilitate foundational decision-making with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Engage users across the organization to understand needs, promote data literacy, and enhance data offerings
  • Serve as escalation point for Data Solutions and data access issues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, technical product management, or technical program management
  • Experience working directly with leadership, functional stakeholders, and data engineering teams
  • Strong familiarity with data management tools and technologies including metadata repositories, ETL/ELT pipelines, data orchestration tools, and APIs
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Tableau, Cognos, or Quick Sight
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience writing highly optimized queries across large datasets
  • Proven ability to communicate technical strategy and data modeling decisions to business and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs across cross-functional teams, including release coordination and process development
  • Experience operating within complex, decentralized environments (higher education experience strongly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience applying formal project management disciplines (scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management)
  • Experience modeling and implementing complex data solutions
  • Experience with data modeling and reporting tools
