Overview
LABUR is supporting a client through a strategic initiative focused on improving how data-driven systems support core business processes across the enterprise. This effort is aimed at increasing clarity, scalability, and efficiency by strengthening the connection between business requirements, data needs, and the systems that enable them. As part of this initiative, LABUR is identifying a Systems Analyst who can help analyze existing processes, gather and document requirements, and translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
This engagement requires someone who can operate at the intersection of business and technology, partnering closely with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data-centric solutions are well-defined, scalable, and aligned with broader organizational objectives.
- Analyze business processes and data workflows within biotech, or pharmaceutical environments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business, system, and data requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications to support system design and enhancement.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and technical teams to ensure requirements are feasible, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
- Support the design and enhancement of data-driven systems used across regulated operational and analytical workflows.
- Assist in defining data inputs, outputs, dependencies, and system behaviors across integrated platforms.
- Participate in testing, validation, and review activities to ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements.
- Maintain high-quality documentation to support audits, traceability, and ongoing system evolution.
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst.
- Required:
Experience working in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments. - Strong background in gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Experience supporting data-centric systems, reporting platforms, or analytics-enabled applications.
- Familiarity with operating in regulated environments, including documentation and compliance expectations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within structured delivery frameworks (SDLC, Agile, or hybrid).
- Experience supporting enterprise modernization or transformation initiatives is a plus.
$55 - $60 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
