The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring the highest quality clinical support services for residents/tenants/clients of the Housing Programs, providing coaching and clinical supervision to multidisciplinary teams, as well as the provision of specialized mental health/substance use direct clinical services and coordination of clinical support. The Clinical Director reports to the Director of Victory Housing.
Responsibilities- Act in accordance with Victory Programs, Inc.’s Standards of Excellence at all times, including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality.
- Provide emergency mental health/substance use assessments and intervention services to identified Housing residents in crisis.
- Support direct service staff who are assisting clients/residents/tenants in accessing essential support services, adhering to medical treatments, improving the stability of their substance use disorder recovery, physical and mental health, and/or are in crisis.
- Support the development of case management and stabilization plans for Housing residents from a mental health perspective.
- Provide emergency and non-emergency clinical consultation in person and via phone coverage.
- Deliver clinical programming.
- Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to assigned staff teams.
- Supervise interns, and assist in the coordination of the agency clinical internship program.
- Assist with the preparation of any reports or proposals as assigned.
- Monitor needs of the program target populations and recommend revisions of existing service models as indicated.
- Maintain accurate and timely record keeping systems.
- Licensed Masters level clinician with a degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, Pastoral Counseling or Rehabilitation Counseling.
- Complete all necessary requirements to maintain clinical license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with clients in priority populations, including substance use disorder, mental health, homeless families and/or HIV/AIDS.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing individual and/or group clinical supervision to interdisciplinary teams of staff.
- Demonstrated competence in care coordination and networking with human service/health care providers.
- Strong organizational, managerial and supervisory experience.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and ability to travel to various program sites.
- Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft products.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire)
- Completed TB screening (may be obtained upon hire)
- Three work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor.
