Per Diem Medical Assistant – Cambridge / Somerville, MA
Pay: $32/hour
Position Type: Per Diem | As-Needed Coverage (Weekdays)
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for per diem coverage supporting healthcare facilities in the Cambridge/Somerville area. This role is ideal for an MA looking for flexibility while maintaining hands-on clinical experience.
Responsibilities- Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
- Take and document vital signs.
- Assist providers with exams and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment.
- Support patient flow and provide excellent patient care.
- Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Strong venipuncture skills.
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused.
- Ability to accept weekday shifts as available.
- CPR certification preferred.
This per diem opportunity allows you to pick up shifts as they become available while working with a supportive healthcare team.
