Job Title: Laundry Wash Lab Technician
Location: Trumbull, CT

Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hr
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent
This entry-level, on-site role supports laundry product performance testing through hands-on wash lab activities and routine test execution. The position focuses on following established procedures, preparing test materials, operating equipment, and generating accurate data for analysis. This is a non-research role suited for candidates interested in practical laboratory operations.
ResponsibilitiesSupport laundry product performance testing for prototype evaluation and advertising claim substantiation
Execute routine testing methodologies, including stain removal and softening tests, after training
Follow standard operating procedures for washing, drying, staining, and test preparation
Prepare test materials independently, including labeling fabrics and towels and preparing stains
Operate laboratory instrumentation and automated equipment
Coordinate with test requesters to confirm product details and testing requirements
Ensure stains are prepared, applied, and evaluated accurately and consistently
Generate and compile test data for review by scientists
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the wash lab
Assist with inventory management and stocking of laboratory supplies
Required
Knowledge of good laboratory practices
Mechanical aptitude
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred
Prior hands‑on laboratory or technical work experience
