Summary:The Nursing Assistant understands the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Nursing Service. Under the supervision of a professional nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to assigned patients.
Responsibilities:- Understand and demonstrate current OSHA standards.
- Accurately record patient care on the Patient Care Flow Sheet.
- Practice telephone courtesy and communicate appropriate information to patients, visitors, and personnel from other departments.
- High School Diploma
- AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- One year of previous experience as a nursing assistant
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program with two completed clinical rotations
- Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program
