Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst (remote) will support the Director of System Finance & Special Projects. The Sr. Financial Analyst plays a key role in driving financial planning, budgeting, and analytical initiatives across the organization. This individual partners closely with department leaders and senior leadership to deliver actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities Budget Planning & DevelopmentLead the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial plans for assigned departments
Partner with department leaders to gather, review, and analyze budget submissions
Provide guidance, training, and support throughout the budgeting process
Perform complex financial modeling and analyze historical trends to inform planning
Conduct variance analysis to assess performance against budget and forecast
Develop financial dashboards and reports highlighting key metrics and trends
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Deliver insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions
Act as a liaison between Finance and operational departments
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
Support and resolve budget-related questions and issues
Lead and support cross-functional financial projects and initiatives
Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Lead initiatives and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Mentor junior analysts and support team development
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required
CPA or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (preferred)
4–5+ years of financial analysis experience
Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)
Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends
Knowledge of healthcare finance (hospital operations, FTEs, volume, expense drivers)
Strong communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint proficiency)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
$78,000.00- $
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
