Salary: 150-180k + bonus & equity
Reports to: Corporate Controller
We are growing our team and looking to add a seasoned Director of Accounting to lead the accounting, payroll, and AP teams within a growing and maturing private company.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in using their prior experience to build out a best-in-class accounting function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Strategic Accounting Leadership: Act as the in-house technical expert on revenue recognition, tax considerations, business combinations, lease accounting, and critical accounting issues.
- Audit: Support the annual audit.
- Systems Optimization: Drive the continued integration and optimization of our Net Suite system to support our growing business, ensuring scalability and efficiency in financial operations.
- Taxes: Manage tax compliance supported by external partners.
- Acquisition Support: Support the integration, accounting and consolidation of the company acquisitions.
Required skills:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, ideally with at least 3 years at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Deep knowledge of corporate accounting best practices including an advanced level understanding of revenue recognition rules.
- Excellent interpersonal skill, able to clearly and consistently communicate with senior leaders of the company.
- Skilled at enforcing budgets and maintaining tight financial controls across business units, products, and subsidiaries.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with international subsidiaries and consolidation of financial statements.
