Our mission is to transform robotic manipulation by enabling dexterous behaviors to be efficiently taught, learned, and refined across diverse real-world environments. The team brings deep cross‑functional expertise spanning simulation, perception, controls, and machine learning. We measure success through both fundamental capability development and meaningful research impact, including open‑source contributions and publications. In this role, you’ll be a key member of the team that does this instruction for the in‑house robots.
As a Robot Operator, you will:
- Operate robotic systems for a diverse range of tasks, including teleoperation using VR equipment and controllers.
- Demonstrate tasks to robots for learning purposes and collect data to enhance robotic capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to refine robotic operations and improve performance.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Provide detailed feedback and reports on robot performance and any issues encountered.
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of robotic systems and workstations.
- Travel up to 25% of the time for off‑site testing and data collection as needed.
We are seeking a creative, curious, and detail‑oriented individual who is excited about teaching robots new skills. Comfort with computers and a genuine interest in robotics are important. Prior experience with robotics, Linux, or command‑line tools is not required, though you will develop these skills on the job. Strong physical dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and familiarity with video games are likely to be advantageous.
This role requires regular use of the Apple Vision Pro VR headset.
