** Job Description

Summary:

** The Hardware Analysis Engineer (PMTS) develops novel solutions to customer driven problems including ruggedized miniature electro-mechanical systems, systems for harsh environments (e.g. high-g, high temperature, high vibration), dynamic mechanisms, and autonomous systems. The analysis team helps ground our proposed solutions in reality by predicting their performance in response to environmental loading (structural, thermal, and aerodynamic forces), working alongside the design teams to improve performance, and finally validating those predictions through environmental testing as programs mature.

**** Duties/Responsibilities*
* • Independently drive solutions to complex problems.  
• Develop requirements, propose ways forward when customer requirements are unclear or incomplete, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements.  
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) able to perform advanced analytical modeling and finite element analysis of complex electro-mechanical systems.  
• Able to provide insight and suggest design modifications based on analysis outcomes, and to apply analysis techniques across a range of technical disciplines.  
• Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies for them.  
• Develop, document, and teach best practices to less experienced engineers;
Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve program goals.  
• Performs other duties as assigned.

** Skills/Abilities*
* • Curiosity-driven approach to solving complex, customer-driven problems as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members, program leadership, and non-technical personnel.

* * Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field. Master's Degree preferred.

** Experience
* * Requires 7-10 years of Engineering experience with Bachelor's Degree. 5-7 years of Engineering experience with Master's Degree.
