We are seeking a strong, hands‑on Senior Systems / Server Engineer to support and evolve a large, enterprise server environment. This role requires someone who can both understand enterprise‑level architecture and actively build, operate, and remediate within it. The ideal candidate comes from a larger server environment and has deep experience working across complex Windows domains, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.

This is not a single‑server or purely architectural role. The engineer must be comfortable operating in the day‑to‑day environment, supporting break/fix, building and improving systems, and developing remediation plans within an enterprise change‑controlled organization.

• Support and enhance a large-scale enterprise server environment of approximately 300 to 500 active servers.
• Work hands‑on with virtualization technologies including VMware ESXi and enterprise hypervisors.
• Engineer, build, maintain, and remediate enterprise infrastructure systems.
• Operate within a multi‑domain Active Directory environment, including AD forests, domain structures, and trust relationships.
• Design, build, and maintain domains, organizational unit structures, and Group Policy objects.
• Perform break/fix support, root cause analysis, and long‑term remediation planning.
• Develop clear remediation and implementation plans that align with enterprise standards and approval processes.
• Partner with internal teams to understand environment complexity, tooling, dependencies, and change processes.
• Participate in architecture discussions while remaining hands‑on in execution.
• Document systems, processes, and improvements.

• 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Server Engineer in a large enterprise environment.
• Proven experience supporting environments with 300+ servers.
• Strong expertise with VMware ESXi and enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Active Directory in multi‑domain, enterprise‑scale environments.
• Demonstrated experience building and supporting:
  • AD forests and domains
  • Domain hierarchies and organizational design
  • Group Policy strategy and implementation
• Strong understanding of enterprise server architecture and how infrastructure components integrate.
• Experience working in structured enterprise environments with formal remediation, change control, and approval processes.
• Ability to translate technical issues into remediation plans and execution roadmaps.

• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Exposure to enterprise security remediation initiatives.
• Experience working in environments with multiple engineering teams and shared infrastructure ownership.

• Comes from a mid‑to‑large enterprise environment that is complex but not overly siloed.
• Comfortable balancing architecture‑level thinking with hands‑on engineering.
• Has lived in enterprise environments and understands operational realities.
• Methodical, organized, and able to navigate enterprise processes.
• Strong communicator who can work cross‑functionally and document clearly.
