Environmental Engineer, Systems Engineer
Acentech, a multi-disciplinary design consulting firm, seeks to hire a mid‑level consultant for our Noise and Vibration team. The position can be located in Cambridge, MA;
Philadelphia, PA; or Fairfax, VA.
In this hybrid role, you will conduct noise and vibration studies, prepare technical reports, represent Acentech at client meetings, and support public outreach efforts.
Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000
Ideal Candidate- Experience working in a vibration and/or acoustics field
- Degree in engineering or science with coursework or specialization in vibration and/or acoustics
- Consulting and project management experience
- Familiarity with vibration/acoustics measurement instrumentation and related data processing and analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and self‑motivation. Ability to work both in teams and on your own on multiple, simultaneous projects
- Familiarity working within project budgets and timelines
- Passion for their work and attention to detail
- Familiarity with MATLAB a plus but not required
- 3 days per week in office required
- Willingness to travel and conduct field work (sometimes on nights and weekends)
