This isn’t a desk job, it’s hands‑on, fast‑paced, and your attention to detail will make a real difference.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Keep wafers moving through the cleanroom, running fabrication steps from start to finish
- Set up, operate, and maintain tools like dry etch systems, photolithography tools, deposition equipment, and wet chemistry stations
- Work with engineers to troubleshoot issues, make process improvements, and keep things running smoothly
- Assemble and test parts for prototype hardware (mechanical and electrical)
- Keep accurate records using basic computer tools (Word, Excel)
- Solid hands‑on experience (5+ years, or 2 years of tech school plus 2 years of work)
- Confidence running fabrication equipment and following SOP
- Comfort in a cleanroom or lab environment
- Focused, careful work habits and good communication
Second Shift
Hours:
11am - 7:30pm
- Performs skilled assembly work; build, assemble, modify and/or repair prototypes.
- Supports engineers on technical projects and/or product; collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data per guidelines.
- Prepares engineering documentation, reports and drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.).
- Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications.
- Recommends alternative solutions to problems and obstacles.
- May set up and conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering analysis.
- With adequate training, may operate, clean, maintain, and/or calibrate assembly equipment requiring highly skilled and specialized knowledge.
- Documents work consistent with work unit policy in handwritten form or using common computer-based software.
- May mentor or train more junior technicians.
- May perform other duties as assigned specific to a particular engineering area.
- Knowledge of clean room practices and protocols.
- Knowledge of small‑scale production environment.
- Proficiency with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook.
As of July 2014 requires successful completion of at least four college credit technical courses. Including one course in both math and physics, and two engineering electives in the area of engineering they currently work in (i.e., Chemical, Electrical, or Elec/Mech).
ExperienceAt least five years of applicable experience is required.

$49.68 – $49.68 per hour (US base salary range). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
